The Challenge
Running a large-scale participation-based campaign required accurate data handling, reliable Fajr attendance tracking, and a transparent reward selection process.
The client needed a system that could:
- Manage thousands of youth participants
- Track Fajr Salah attendance within dedicated time windows
- Support masjid-level attendance marking
- Allow admins to verify participant records
- Calculate 40-day cycle completion eligibility
- Generate and export certificates
- Maintain volunteer and student participation records
- Run a fair reward distribution process based on participant consistency
In Phase 2, the system also needed to support improved backend workflows, activity logs, participant image records, and importing data from the previous phase.
Our Solution
StandardTouch built a dedicated Android-based product ecosystem for the campaign, including an attendance app, admin panel, certificate workflow, and reward distribution system.
Key features included:
- Fajr Attendance App: Built for dedicated representatives to mark Fajr Salah attendance within specific time windows.
- Admin Panel: Enabled the client team to review, manage, and verify student, volunteer, masjid, and attendance records.
- 40-Day Cycle Tracking: Automated participant progress tracking, where each 40-day consistency cycle made participants eligible for certificates.
- Certificate Generation: Supported automated certificate generation for students and volunteers.
- Weighted Prize Spinner: Created a transparent reward selection system where participants with more completed cycles received proportionally higher chances.
- Data Export Support: Added export workflows and scripts to provide sheets and certificate data whenever required.
- Phase 2 Enhancements: Improved backend workflows, activity tracking, student image visibility, data imports, and attendance window updates.
Reward Distribution Logic
The campaign used a weighted spinner system to reward consistency.
Each completed 40-day cycle counted as one certificate milestone. In Phase 1, the system supported up to 9 cycles per student, meaning one student could earn up to 9 certificates based on consistent Fajr attendance. In Phase 2, the system supported up to 3 cycles per student, meaning one student could earn up to 3 certificates.
A participant with one completed cycle appeared once in the spinner, while a participant with more completed cycles appeared multiple times, increasing the chance of winning based on consistency.
The spinner was used to select winners across multiple reward categories, including:
- Umrah packages
- Smart watches
- Shoes
This created a simple, transparent, and motivation-based reward system for the campaign.
