MetaBuildCo required a customized ERPNext implementation that could support contracting-specific operational and accounting workflows.

The client needed VAT handling for expenses, retention handling in Sales Invoice, selectable Discount Account as a Party Account, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable inclusion in retention, and cleaner handling of minor customizations through dedicated custom applications instead of modifying the core ERPNext system.

Key challenges included:

• Standard ERPNext needed customization for contracting-related accounting workflows.
• Expense entries required VAT handling.
• Sales Invoice required custom retention handling.
• Retention needed to work with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Minor customizations had to be shifted away from the core system into custom apps.
